January Jumble Jamboree!

School is crazy, so I don't post. I'm sure if I prioritized my time better it could happen more often, but I have yet to perfect that skill.

Alas, here is a look-back at my month of January.

~Stake Conference

Week 2:
~School Started
~Bagels at the Institute
~Went down to Orem to have Dad set up a computer for Brother
~Electronic Interview for Nursing School Application
~CES Fireside with Pres. Uchtdorf and my Bro in the Choir

Week 3:
~Picked Up 40 Dozen Donuts for the SOP Day of Institute LDSSA Week

Week 4:
~Spend MLK Jr. Day up at the Cabin- riding snowmobiles, putting together 550+ piece puzzles, finding out-houses and playing in the snow

 ~Made Cupcakes
~Took an incredibly tough Skull Quiz in Advanced Anatomy Lab
~Brother's Mission Call came on Thursday instead of Wednesday
~Found out Elder Michael Fotheringham will be serving the Lord for 2 years in the New York New York North Mission, preaching the Gospel in American Sign Language, entering the Provo MTC on June 26th, 2013
~So Proud of my Little Brother and am grateful for the example that he is to me everyday
~Went to Dinner with the Fam in celebration of Michael's Mission Call
~Went Visiting Teaching

Week 5:
~Exams on Monday and Thursday
~Studied for days
~Got home from school on Tuesday at 10:50pm
~Slept over at Kara's House on her couch Wednesday Night
~Wanted to drop Advanced Anatomy
~Played with a Skull for a total of 4 hours in TA lab hours

First 2 days of February:
~Watched the Copper Hills Azurettes Sweep the State Drill Competition at UVU
~Watched a movie at Whit's house, then stayed for 2 hours after everyone left, the majority of the time spent laughing
~Now sitting on my couch, avoiding homework that I really need to do
~Tonight going to an LDSSA retreat at Camp Tracey

And the majority of all of this happened while trying to make my way through freezing temperatures, blizzards, slushy roads and sidewalks, and the one weird day of freezing rain!

I am now ready for a Fantastic February!
It's my birthday month! Woohoo!

Smörgåsbord!

First of all, the title of this post is courtesy of Elise. No, I did not know how to spell it before she posted it.

So I have lots of thoughts as of late and just thought I would share.

First, check out my Follow Me buttons over on the left side there. I finally figured out how to get them on here, and I'm pretty proud of myself.

Second, I made a new FB page for my blog! The FB button links over to it, so feel free to "Like" it! Also, I got a twitter account again (hence the twitter button), mostly to follow the LDS accounts, as well as my blogger buds!

Third, I might die this semester. I am taking Advanced Anatomy, among some other tough classes as well. I have heard that Advanced is probably one of the hardest, if not hardest, classes available at the U. And I'm taking it for fun. Cause I'm an idiot.

Fourth, I am in the process of applying for nursing school. But I keep putting it off and finding other things to do instead of work on my application. Cause I'm a slacker, slash terrified of growing up.
Also, I am kind of scared that I probably won't get in this year. Reason is, they look very highly at clinical experience, and I have like none except for my clinical hours for my CNA certification. Which leads me to...

Fifth, I need to get a job. I need money for various reasons, as well as getting experience in the health care field. But, I also don't really want to work at a nursing home and change briefs all day. So that's a dilemma.

Sixth, I haven't really made any new years resolutions because once I do, I always get so discouraged because I feel like I am failing. So, I think this year I am just going to make "decisions" of how I want to better my life. And if I slip up, it is totally ok and I can just start again the next day!

Seventh, this post is probably getting a bit long, so enjoy a pic from my recent family vacation on a cruise to Mexico!

Photo taken at Lover's Beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
No editing has been done to this photo. It was really just that gorgeous!

*Disneyland and Cruise post (s) to come later*

Happy Weekend Bleeps! (Blogger Peeps) ;)

Dear Boys 11

Dear Dishes,

Why do you not come to class, especially when I look forward to seeing you?? That is just not nice.

Love,
Becca

Dear Little Kid,

This is an easy job. But sometimes you bother me. Like when you chew with your mouth open.
Please stop. Thanks.

Love,
Becca

Dear Obi-wan,

I'm glad things are going better, even if that guy got transferred. I'm sorry you never truly got through to him :( But when he starts to sort things out in his life, I bet he remembers you and the good influence that you had on him.

Love,
Darth Vader

Dear First Love,

Hearing your voice this morning was the best, even if it was just a voice recording. Also, remembering my birthday when you are in a whole different country made my whole month pretty much :)
I miss you a lot, and I hope that you are doing well!

Love,
Becca Bec

Dear That Kid,

I lost a lot of respect for you. Obviously you are two different people depending on who you are with. That's not ok.
I invested a lot of time and effort into trying to get you to notice me.
I'm moving on.
Finally.

Love,
Becca

Dear Pneumonia,

I'm glad you aren't dead. And thanks for the little bit of advice today.

Love,
Becca

Dear James Bond,

We should play sometime. Especially cause you aren't in Institute anymore cause of your new job.

Love,
Becca

Dear Nachos,

You are kinda awesome :) We should be friends. K? K.

Love,
Becca

Dear Crunch Wrap,

In the words of Elise, you are for sure dreamy ;)

Love,
Becca

Dear Boys 10

Dear T,

Giving me a book isn't going to make me change my mind. I've decided and that's that. It's my life and my future. You don't have a say in it.

Love,
Becca

Dear Hank,

I am sad that I can't come to your class anymore :( But, finding a super easy job is wonderful, even if it is on Thursdays. I'll have to come visit you and your beautiful family some other time :)

Love,
Your Utah Girl

Dear Crunch Wrap,

You make me melt. All over the ground. Ok, not really, but it sure feels like it. And being late to class to be able to talk to you is TOTALLY worth it.
You are gorgeous!

Love,
Becca

Dear Dishes,

Follow your friend's advice and lets all study together, K? I think it would turn out quite nicely :)

Love,
Becca

Dear Pneumonia,

Stop dying. Literally.

Love,
Becca

Dear Missionaries that just walked in the Institute,

You are for sure good looking :) Ha ha ha ha

Love,
Becca

Dear That Kid,

I'm glad things haven't been awkward! That's a step in the right direction! :)

Love,
Becca

Dear Obi-Wan,

I am glad to hear that you are doing better! I know that you can get through to this guy, cause that's just how awesome you really are :)

Love,
Darth Vader

Dear Peeta,

I'm so on your team. And I'm so excited for tomorrow night!! :)

Love,
Becca

Dear Breast Friend,

I'm glad to hear that you have safely arrived in Mexico.
I'm not so glad to haven't received a letter in over a month now.
What's up with that??

Love,
Tight Like Unto A Dish

Dear Boys 3...and other stuff

So, I'm a couple days late on this whole Dear Boys thing because this week has been NUTS! Awesome, but nuts.
For the first part of this post will tell you about my crazy week I have had, and then onto the lovely Dear Boysness :)

So, On Tuesday, I got home from school around 1ish and had some lunch, was going to go to the temple, but then decided to do my homework first. Then once I was done with homework, it was time for me to go to work. Work was super dead....till about 7. Then, like 4 families came in and another group of.....very odd.....adults came in to play laser tag around 8. All of the families left by like 8:30ish, except this weird group....who stayed until after we closed at 9. I was angry and tired. So by then, I just came home, worked out, and went to bed.
On Wednesday, school was alright. I love my New Testament class and it is always so spiritual, but that day, when I left the class I just felt down in the dumps, like I wasn't good enough or didn't know enough. It wasn't the best of days. So when I got home, I decided that I really did need to go to the temple, so I did :) It was just what I needed. I love the temple so so much and I really need to be better at going on a regular basis, because I haven't been in forever...like almost a year. Bad I know. Once I got home, I did my homework and by that time it was dinner :) After dinner, my most favorite person in the world, Bro. Hank Smith, was giving a fireside at the Prairie Stake Center, only like 10 minutes from my house. So obviously I had to go. It was so great and I was so glad to be able to see and talk to him for a little bit. After the fireside, everyone there wanted to talk to him, so myself, Michael, Cassie, and Lauren, all waited for people to leave before we went up to talk to him, so because of that, we didn't get home until like 10:15pm....whoops! So I didn't have time to write my Dear Boys post that day.
Thursday. Oh Thursday...craziest, most awesome day of my life! So, I had school in the morning and I drove instead of taking trax because of all the craziness happening that day. I got to school around 7am for my institute committee (Spirit Of Place) meeting. Then I had 2 classes and got done at 11:35am. I then booked it up to the institute, changed into nice clothes, then drove to the airport. Why the airport? Because a couple days earlier my dear neighbor Wendy called me and her husband works at Diamond Rental Car and Limo Company. This week they have to have people at the airport to greet the passengers that are coming for the sundance film festival in Park City. They had 2 girls cancel on them, so Wendy was scrambling to find someone to help, so I did and got paid $10 an hour :) No, I didn't greet and escort anyone super famous, but I did see some famous people! It was fun, and I get to go help again on Wednesday. Then at 5:00pm, I left the airport and headed back up to the U for the institute welcome back carnival! And might I just say, that was a blast! There were blowup things, karaoke, just dance 3 on kinect, bean bag toss (which I was in charge of bringing), doughnut on a string eating contest, and then a dance that went till 11pm. Lets just say, I didn't get home until midnight. I was exhausted! Then, today, I had to wake up at 5am to get to my 7:30 class on time....I almost cried when my alarm went off. Then school was just long and boring, and now I am home relaxin' :)

Now, for Dear Boys!

Dear Hank,

You are the best ever! I wish you wouldn't have moved so far away. I will try to come to your Thursday night classes, but it might not always happen. I will try though.

Love,
Your Utah Girl

Dear Breast Friend,

It's been two weeks, and I haven't gotten a letter from you. I'm a little upset. But, granted, you are the one serving the Lord with all of your time and I'm just going to school, so I guess I could have written you again this week anyways, but I didn't. I'm sorry :(

Love,
Tight Like Unto A Dish

Dear Institute Boy,

You make my heart melt. I wish I would've just asked you to dance last night, but hanging out all night was awesome :) You are the master of blowup obstacle courses, but I dominated at Just Dance 3. So we're even :)
I hope to see you tonight!

Love,
FB Stalker

Dear Crush since 7th Grade,

I haven't seen you and we go to the same school so.....I kinda don't care anymore....sorry! Ha ha, Institute Boy has my mind preoccupied ;)

Love,
Not a Trax Buddy

Dear Dancing Man,

Dancing last night was fun, but kind of awkward. Just sayin.

Love,
Becca

I think that is it for today. Have a great weekend everyone!!
